Weather
Different types of weather can cause dangerous or hazardous driving conditions, and many cars are equipped to handle these conditions in a variety of ways.
Rain
Most vehicles have windows, hoods, and roofs which can prevent rain from getting the passengers of the vehicle or engine from getting wet. Apart from getting wet, rain can also cause a loss of traction, so some cars are equipped with Anti-lock brakes. Also, to make sure the driver is able to see while it is raining, most vehicles are equipped with Windshield wipers.
Snow and Ice
Snow also causes a visual impairment on the windshield as well as a loss of traction, so the same features help to protect vehicles from rain help with snow.
Snow and ice can cause much more significant loss of traction, so some vehicles are equipped with front wheel, four wheel, or all wheel drive. Vehicles which travel in extreme conditions sometimes carry chains which can be wrapped around the wheels to provide additional traction.
Sun Glare
Though not an obvious danger, sun glare can also cause visual impairment and so many cars are equipped with sun visors.
