Is the Lexus GX 460 "Unsafe at Any Speed"?

Lexus, the luxury automaker owned by Toyota, received a devastating review by Consumer Reports magazine for their Lexus GX 460 sports utility vehicle (SUV).

In my experience, most of the people I know who own SUVs bought them because they are bigger and their owners believe that to make them safer vehicles.

Apparently not, according to Consumer Reports. Why? I read that its because of the rollover risk. They summarize their findings with this rating: "Don't buy: safety risk."

Ouch!!!

Note - the title of this post doesn't really relate to the Lexus GX 460. Its actually the title of a book by Ralph Nader about the automobile industry and safety:
