Old Seat Belt Story

When I was in high school I had a fast car. I got pulled over for speeding and a new law had just been passed requiring seat belts to be worn at all times. I wasn't wearing mine when I got pulled over, but put it on before the office got to my car. He asked if I was wearing my seat belt when he pulled me over. I told me that no, in fact I just put it on. Apparently he saw me putting it on, and was so glad I told the truth that he let me go on the speeding with a warning.

These days I always wear my seat belt and don't speed, either. But then again, these days I drive a dual efficient car that isn't so fast!
