GM + Segway

Published almost 3 years ago

The GM + Segway joint partnership could result in a pretty cool little vehicle. However, the picture I saw of the vehicle was a lot like a motorcycle, but instead of one wheel in front of the other, they were next to each other. The vehicle had no side windows and appears to have very little structure to it. Would a vehicle like this pass safety tests?

I'm getting the feeling that this effort on the part of GM may only be "lip service" towards consumer demand of vehicles with higher mileage per gallon fuel efficiency. Supposedly the new vehicle from GM + Segway will achieve two hundred miles per gallon. How about a more realistic vehicle that gets eighty or ninety miles per gallon? Or maybe a plug-in hybrid that gets one hundred miles per gallon?
