The Tata Nano Car

Tata is a large company in India and quickly going global. I believe that they started out in the information technologies, and then expanded into other industries. The parent company is called the Tata Group. Wow, I just skimmed the article there at Wikipedia and it turns out Tata was founded in 1868. They've probably been global for some time now.

They recently announced a new product: the Tata NANO, a car that only costs a suggested $2,000. I doubt it will be available anytime soon in the United States, but the idea will most definitely catch the attention of savings loving Americans. I've been seeing a lot more Smart cars lately here in the DC area, and I kept on hearing that they weren't going to be available in the States either. Go figure.
