Google Maps and Overlays

They call them mashups, but I'd call them overlays. The utility of a map improves drastically with all the various visual information which can be overlaid on the geographic map.

This, combined with map interactivity, makes for some very compelling information. For example, during the elections last night, the Google Map mashups were very informative and convenient.
