Traffic improves near work
Published over 3 years ago
It's great to have a giant corporation build up near the office. (I never though those words would be typed by me) They totally re-did the lights that lead out of our office.
Before the major 4-way intersection of Page Street the road our complex is on and rte 138 was difficult to cross and get through. People made left hand turns from every direction, but there was never a green arrow for the turn or a dedicated turning lane. With trucks exiting from rte 24 and barreling through that light it could be hairy at times making the left turn to Page Street. As part of the restructuring for the new retail chain the intersection had to be updated to handle the increase in traffic.
The result safer entrances and exits to our buildings. It's nice when traffic engineers get it right.
It had the potential to be a mess - like Stoughton Center - so I'm grateful everything turned out as well as it did.

Yeah those lights were a nightmare when I first started working over here.
