Car Accident
Published over 3 years ago
Today while driving on the highway, there was a big accident and the traffic became very heavy. The driver behind me was tailgating me, even though we were driving at 5 miles per hour. I was in the left most lane, and as I approached a merge, he tried to pass me on the right, cut me off, and then slammed on his breaks when the car in front of me slowed down. He bashed his mirror into my car and put a dent in my front quarter panel.
The driver was so aggressive and was filled with so much rage, I was scared for my own safety. Since the site was already a crash site, there was thankfully a state trooper there. I approached some firefighters and requested their assistance. They walked back to my vehicle with me and the other driver seemed to have calmed down a bit. As the state trooper approached, he asked how bad it was. Since I was more concerned for my own safety, I said I was fine but felt the other driver was out of control. He looked at the other driver's mirror, which was smashed, and then collected our information for an accident report.
I now have five days to fill out and mail the crash report to my insurance agent and the State Police. :-(
Jeremy says:
What did the guy do when you went and grabbed the trooper? Are you going to get your car fixed or leave it as is? Was it obviously his fault or not?
Glad you're ok!
