The SUV Demise
Published almost 4 years ago
I wonder if SUVs will soon be a thing of the past. With gas prices at outrageous costs, I don't see how your average Joe can afford to keep filling those gas guzzlers. Not to mention with all the chatter these days about global warming many are starting to realize they're not exactly the most environmentally friends cars on the block.
Rather than having SUVs go extinct, the other alternative would be for car companies to develop more environmentally safe SUVs, but of course this is easier said than done. These cars take all that gas for a reason. They're huge. In the long run, I'm wondering if most companies are deciding to scrap their SUV lines, rather than spending the money to design more fuel efficient vehicles. Maybe America has outgrown the SUV craze. What do you think?
