Solar Powered Prius

The news networks are a buzz with talk of solar panels on the 2010 model Toyota Prius. This is a great idea! Though it won't have a dramatic effect on the car's overall efficiency, in my opinion, every little bit helps!

And like the car in general, it makes a public statement about a commitment to alternative fuels. It will also likely be cool looking! :-)

Lastly, the use of solar panels in a high volume production manufacturing process will undoubtedly fund more research and development in the area. I applaud Toyota for taking such a progressive approach to powering their vehicles, and hope that American car manufacturers start innovating soon.
