Transporting Vehicles
Published almost 4 years ago
My family is moving to Bethesda, Maryland. We've got about 1.5 months before we hit the road, and we're actively planning.
Besides all the boxes, bags, and bundles we'll have, there is the question of our three cars:
- 2008 Toyota RAV4
- 2005 Toyota Corolla
- 1969 Mercedes Benz 280SL
We're planning to drive the Toyotas to our new locale, one at a time, and we still need to figure out what to do with the Benzito. There are a few options, most of which require some sort of transportation.
It could be driven. The car is in great mechanical shape. However, given that it is an old car, I've learned to expect the unexpected. There are some car transport services too - either on train or by tractor trailer. We haven't explored those options yet, and I'm guess they'll be pretty pricey.
I've also thought about selling the vehicle, but I'm not sure how I feel about parting with it. I think it will be OK if I continue to mill this over for another 3 weeks at least. Ah procrastination!
