Verizon at the gas pump

I was driving down route 1 this morning on my way to work. When I noticed gas was twenty cents cheaper at the Mobil I was driving by. I did a quick "u"ie in the Walmart parking lot, and slugged over to Mobile to get my super discount gas. As I pulled up I realized there was a catch to my super cheap-o reasonable gas."Hello ma'am Verizon is paying for 20 cents off every gallon o gas today to drone in your ear some ridiculous sales pitch about why you need a service we don't offer in your area." The service? You know... FIOS.

I was horrified. This was quite possibly one of the most annoying and uncomfortable circumstances I had ever found myself in. On the one hand I was glad to be saving a couple bucks on my gas today. On the other I wanted to shove this guy's clip board down his throat, and tell him to have a nice day.
