Tesla Motors

Tesla Motors is a high performance, fully electronic automobile manufacturer. Their cars are expensive, around $100,000 base price, but they perform as a car of that price range would. Since most people who own cars valued so high don't drive them around endlessly, it actually makes good sense to have an electric car like that.

Do you know anyone who drives 100 miles continuously in a Ferarri? Me neither!

The only thing I find a little strange (so far) about Tesla Motors is the name they chose. Nikolai was definitely an interesting character, but I wonder if it makes sense for a motor car company. And I wonder if they founder or anyone at the company is somehow related to Tesla?

Maybe they were referring to the band Tesla?
