The Deregulation of Massachusetts Auto Insurance

Personally, I welcome this change of deregulation of automobile insurance. I hope it ends up rewarding those who are careful drivers, those who drive less, and reduces the overall cost of automobile insurance in Massachussets. I also hope it gives drivers more choice when it comes to deciding which company to buy insurance from - many companies, like Geico, have refrained from doing business in Massachusetts due to the regulations.

I just got some estimates and the price was pretty much the same as what I pay now. I plugged in some different numbers and the price skyrocketed when I chose a ticket in the last year. Ouch!
