1986 Saab 900

This post is a simple tribute to my old 1986 Saab 900. I just came across this picture today while going through some old files, and wow did it bring back some driving memories.

I drove this car all the way from New England to California and back, without any problems at all. What's so special about that? Well, the car already had over 350,000 miles on it!

With a simple four cylinder engine, the car didn't have too much "get up and go", but it was very easy to work on. While I owned it, I replaced a fuel pump, but that was about it.

My favorite thing about this car was the hatchback. You could really fit a lot in this car, which was small, but at the same time the seats were really comfortable.

Since it was front wheel drive, it handled really well in the snow, too.
