Safe Car Results

Published over 4 years ago

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety recently published their car safety test results and more cars than ever are getting high marks.

We recently discussed large cars versus small cars in terms of safety, and its interesting to learn that the Subaru Impreza is the first small car in the IIHS tests to get the highest rating. Congratulations to Subaru and thanks to the IIHS for doing these important tests!

It's true, the 2007 and on impreza models other than the Impreza STI, because of it's power to weight ratio, have the highest crash test rating. I was hit 2 weeks ago by a drunk driver moving at 35 mph while i was stopped and i was fine in my Subaru Impreza WRX wagon. Go Subaru!

so happy to hear you're ok! I have a friend who is about to trade in her GMC SUV for an Outback wagon, although it isn't a small car- it is a mid-size wagon, it is a Subaru. Her SUV got deplorable safety ratings and with a new baby riding with her, she wanted an all wheel drive vehicle with great safety record. All the research pointed toward Subarus.

Happy, safe driving.
