What do you think about hybrid cars?

Personally, I think hybrids are cool, but they cost too much. Furthermore, I think it would be great to be able to plug-in your hybrid to avoid having to rely on foreign oil (instead relying on domestic coal, wind, or nuclear energy), but the problem there is that the government hasn't figured out how to tax that yet.

In related news, there are several US states preparing to sue the federal government over the response, or lack thereof, to the environmental effects of energy emissions. Very interesting, wouldn't you say?
