Fuel Efficiency

Published almost 5 years ago

Doing a little research on fuel efficiency:

  • Proper tire pressure
  • Clean air filter
  • Exhaust wrap

I've also heard that acetone can increase fuel efficiency, but honestly it would be a pain in the neck to add it to every tank of gas. I'll stick with checking my tire pressure every so often.

Another factor I've heard that increases fuel efficiency is to accelerate at your engines peak torque RPM, which actually makes a lot of sense. I accelerate slowly right now, but that probably takes longer to get up to speed.

I just purchased some exhaust wrap to try on my exhaust system. It was only $17 shipped from autobarn.com, so I figure its worth a shot. If I use it over the next 5 years it might be worth it!
