Talking while driving

Published almost 5 years ago

I really have no problem with a person making a quick phone call to a friend while driving. My real beef is with the hotshot in his designer suit and beamer making an hour long conference call to China. Sometimes I think they forget they're not in the boardroom, but behind the wheel of two tons of steel traveling 70 miles per hour. I think they like showing off in front of other motorists, I sense an arrogant vibe that screams "I'm kind of a big deal, people know me."

I agree to a certain extent, but cell phones can be really distracting. Like you mentioned in your blog about the CD player, I've found myself trying to type in someone's number, or even get the phone out of my pocket and slightly veering off track. Bluetooth is great for this, but the headsets are always running out of batteries. I should try one of the speakerphones instead.
