My Subaru Impreza

Published about 5 years ago

I wanted to share my thoughts on my subaru impreza wrx purchase. I live in Culver City, CA and purchased at santa monica subaru from a guy named Jerry Burns.

I found the perfect subaru, a used 2006 WRX, 5 speed, with 38,000 miles, some nice bells and whistles, in Charcoal grey. I negotiated a killer deal, and declined putting a deposit down until i sold my 1997 toyota tacoma.

My toyota 4x4 was in prestine shape and ended up selling in 1 day! I immediatly called on the used impreza, but I was too late.

Now I was carless, in need of a new car, and that's when I called Jerry! My experience at Santa Monica Subaru was awesome.

Jerry greeted me in a flannel shirt, not a suit. I knew exactly what I wanted and knew what I would pay, so there was little haggling. Jerry handed me the keys to the one I wanted, we hopped in and let me take it for a spin.

When I signed all the paper work after settling on the fee with the sales manager, i realized my new car didn't have the

special mirror with the compass and the homelink.

After twisting the managers arm, he gave it to me for free. The thing I noticed was that not only was everyone nice, but they all owned subaru's. The Finance guy has the same model as me,in the same color.

I love researching cars, I love the process of negotiating, I hate the buying process. The thing is, at subaru, it wasn't bad at all. It was about as fun as buying a car could be.

Has anyone else had similar/different experiences?

You just told me about the boxster engine, so I looked it up and found this cool picture:

I'm curious what the buzzing you describe is. Good to hear you're enjoying the Subaru.
